In fact, many caves have been successively and alternately visited by bears and humans over a very long period of time. But what we find there in the greatest abundance are neither painted or engraved images, nor simple paw or claw prints, but thousands of bones.
Alexane Sanchez
Alexane Sanchez (born in 1997 in France) obtained a Master’s degree in painting at La Cambre in 2020. Her questioning concerns the relationships between the human being and its part of “animality”. Through painting, drawing and performance, she weaves a network where the living can metaphorically blossom. In this perspective, her body is the tool that allows her to embody or give intensity to her thought. The gesture, the colour, the forms and the materials she uses attempt to question the modes of existence of the living, the relationships that are woven between each being and the metamorphoses that can germinate there. In the image of a wild thought that would rehabilitate, if only metaphorically, an intense form of otherness.
